It’s nice that I had the opportunity to work with Denmarks most vibrant media house again. The new project was a new international logo version and brand name for JP/Politiken Media Group. The main urge for the new logo was the UK brand Dezeen*, which is the Danish group’s first acquisition outside Scandinavia and a major step in its international expansion.
In 2018 my studio designed a new visual identity and site design for the media group. Architecture was my main source of inspiration when designing the new identity, I was inspired by the modernistic idea of an open house and in particular the famous Barcelona pavilion, designed by Mies Van de Rohe, in 1929.
JP/Politiken Media Group is one of Denmark’s leading media groups. Formed by the merger of two private trusts, it exists to »equip citizens with facts and knowledge that make them better able to take an active part in a democratic society«.
*Dezeen is the world’s most popular and influential architecture and design magazine.
