Going to San Francisco
Hello,
I’m thrilled to share I’m going to San Francisco to join SND 47th and present the studios latest project on; “Designing something news”…
For the first time the SND 47, is in two separate locations, the San Francisco Bay Area and Singapore.
The 47th Edition of the SND Creative Competition, takes place April 20 – 24, a week of events, including SND’s first w-shop in Southeast Asia — a landmark expansion of the organization’s global footprint. San Francisco Bay — a perfect location for news with it’s beautiful landmarks and innovative startups.
I’m honoured to be an invited speaker at SND 47.
SND 47 at Berkley that the studio join is at UC Berkeley’s Clark Kerr Campus, and is hosted by San Francisco Chronicle Creative Director and SND Vice President Alex K Fong. Berkeley was the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement, 1964 and is a world renowned research university.
The Society for News Design (SND) is an international organization for news media professionals and visual communicators.
“If you’re going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flower in your hair”
I hear AI is everywhere in San Francisco, from Waymo, the business to the conversations. A different revolution from when ‘Going to San Francisco’, by Scott McKenzie was played in the flower power movement, not sure what Robots wear?
While staying I’m excited to sense the variety of culture with the world’s first Japantown, catch a glimpse of the aestethic; the Golden and the painted ladies and just experience the atmosphere and food!
